DYED IN BOTANICAL INDIGO AND SAFFLOWER
LATE 19C/EARLY 20C Yu-age were used in the San-in region
to dry infants after they had been bathed.
Their eyes were dabbed with the benibana corner,
in the belief that safflower would prevent illness.
